Our research in the lead up to working on new products and their applications includes: market data; visits to retailers, restaurants, street markets; social listening; “comp shops”; trade journals; consumer understanding and overseas markets insights. This gives us the inspiration to develop products to work in certain applications, relevant to particular channels of trade, to selected consumer groups and forms the basis of our “Reasons to Believe” supporting material.
We are also happy to take on projects to re-engineer current products, perhaps driven by alternative fat formulation; to reduce cost, or to solve problems in our customers’ production processes. With increased desire by consumers for clean and clear labels, retailers and manufacturers are considering alternative formulations. The expertise and development time of our Applications Chef, is part of the service we offer to support our contract blending and packing facility.
