FAQs

Orchard Valley Foods understands its obligation to all its customers with regards to the control of food allergens. To this end Orchard Valley Foods will police all its suppliers’ and its own systems through a robust HACCP system to ensure that the risk to cross contamination is minimised.

The Burford site is for storage, blending, packing, distribution and product development. Control measures are in place to segregate specific allergenic materials. In particular the blending and packing stages must follow a running order to minimise cross contamination.  The product development department must follow a strict risk assessment regime when developing any new samples.

The allergens handled on site are as follows:

Milk
Soya
Gluten
Egg
Sulphites
Fish (gelatine only)

We’re a nut, peanut and sesame free site and do not allow these, or derivatives of these ingredients, on site.

We have a very broad and deep range of products encompassing the categories of

We’re not able to capture everything in a single document.  At the beginning of each of the subcategories is a list of all the variations in terms of size, shape, flavour, colour, coating and other variables.

As many of the products we supply are bespoke, these options, the photographs and descriptions, as well as the innovations section should be seen as the beginning of process to identify the right product for the application.

Many of the products we supply are created in partnership with customers to meet their requirements of colour, flavour, texture and functionality.  By negotiation we can look at stock holding of such bespoke lines.

We do have a number of regular stock items, and these are typically the most popular, standard lines.  The minimum order quantities for these lines are of the order of 60kg.

We have a broad portfolio of products covering confections, decorations and inclusions.  Where there is an emerging trend, channel interest and potential consumer demand for a new product we would be interested to hear more about it.  Initially, please send an introductory email to sales@orchard-valley.co.uk describing the product, its applications and the trends it fits with.

This very much varies by the product category.  We’ve given an indication on each of the sub category pages as to the minimum order quantity.  For bulk deliveries, MOQ varies between 400 kg and 3 tonnes.  We have a selection of products which are kept in stock and the typical MOQs are 60kg.

Orchard Valley Foods is our parent company, and the name which is becoming synonymous with confections, decorations and inclusions adding fun, flavour, colour and texture to bakery, ice cream, desserts and chocolate.
